I get the feeling that a lot of lads want Clare to get turned over and are hyping them to up to the gills to make the fall seem even greater than it is.
& what if Clare win?
They will throw out the ‘I told you so’ line but will be seething really…

@glasagusban in particular- banging on all week about the greatest forward line ever… he’d only love it if they fell short. We all know they are a fantastic team- but it’s their first game and Cork have two under their belt who themselves have a good forward line…

I find it really difficult to call. I would rate these two at the top of the chasing pack after Dublin and they are very evenly matched teams. Monaghan are more or less at full strength though their star forward might not make it but right now they have a much more settled team and also home advantage and a strong desire to avenge last year’s defeat. Tyrone are still looking for their best XV and the right balance but they will get closer to it with every match played. Looking forward to a cracker, may not be one for the purists but it will definitely be a gripping and competitive game much like the Donegal-Derry game a couple of weeks ago.
I haven’t seen enough of Monaghan to be sure about them. I don’t think Clones will hold any fears for Tyrone. Both older and younger players would have won numerous Ulster titles there and that’ll be a fair leveller. If Tyrone were to lose, the qualifier route may suit them better if they’re unsettled in their selection. I could be wrong, but I can’t recall Monaghan beating Tyrone in championship football in the last 10-15 years.
Dublin are undoubtedly superior to anyone else but I fancy Kerry to make the semi-finals at least.

The last time Monaghan beat Tyrone in Championship football was 88. I agree on Kerry, they have a fairly straightforward run. Neither Monaghan or Tyrone will want the perils of the qualifiers, the side of the draw they are on in the qualifiers is very difficult and there are plenty of potential banana skins there. It’s an extremely difficult match to call and I couldn’t predict it in certainty but I believe Monaghan are in a much more assured place right now.

Kilkenny by 4.
I don’t think Kilkenny are as strong as they were a few years ago while Galway are capable of anything.
