Serie A season 2011/2012

Cannavaro was beaten to that one

Great play by Ibarbo tees up a chance for Cagliari and De Sanctis scuppers it behind.

A wonderful first half comes to a conclusion. 3-1 Napoli.

The wonderful Lavezzi wins a penalty.

Converted by the king himself, 4-1 Napoli.

Lavezzi departs the pitch to scenes of worship.

Cavani replaces him.

Pochomania will soon hit the footballing world, momentum has gathered already. I would just like to state I was here before any bandwagon ever started.

Gargano has made it 5-1.

S.S.C. Napoli.

The party has well and truly started at the cathedral of calcio, the cathedral of Cavani

Larrivey gets a second, 5-2.

He’s scored two excellent headers, Ibarbo setting it up very well.

Maggio makes it 6. A peach of a reverse ball from Pandev.

Just wanted to post in support of the Lavezzi comments. What a player. A ridiculous talent with a very attractive playing style.

He really is. I’m trying to think of player who reminds me of him in style but I can only think of one - Diego. Arguably one of the best dribblers I’ve seen. He’s strong, quick, elusive, has wonderful balance, quick feet and a lovely composure on the ball. People will point to Messi, sure - but Messi likes to play one-two’s when he dribbles. Lavezzi can carry the ball the length of the pitch without halting.

We should just agree they are both greats of the game.

8 goals on a Friday night, bellissimo.

I will leave tonight’s commentary with this.

It was nine in the end Totti

So I see, even better!

What was Larrivey’s last goal like, another header?

Header. Final whistle went immediately. Slack marking.

Impressive stuff from Larrivey, he only had the chances tonight.

Genoa are hanging on here against Juventus, Juve have hit the woodwork 3 times in quick succession. 0-0.

Milan lead Lecce 1-0 at the San Siro. Nocerino with the goal.

Pepe has a goal ruled out when it looked onside.

6 draws for Juventus in their last 7 league matches. They not are 4 points adrift of Milan. Zlatan added a second for Milan who ran out 2-0 victors.

Conte is now 31 competitive games unbeaten with Juve. They have drawn 14 games in the league though! :o
