He has his limitations - mainly pace - but he has adapted to the centre of midfield very well. He played a few lovely probing passed today.

It’s worth it as long as Ian Crocker is commentating.
I’ve always associated Ian’s enthusiastic commentaries with memorable Celtic wins in Glasgow derbies, going back as far as the 6-2 win in August 2000.
That was a magnificent triumph.
Thought Gordon, Izzy, Brown, Armstrong and Dembele were our best players. Dembele bullied them relentlessly all game. Super performance. Armstrong is a real gem.

Lustig had a bit of a nightmare up against McKay but set up Dembélé for that fluffed chance early in the second half. Still it was a 5/10 type display from him. Simunovic didn’t necessarily do much wrong but he wasn’t that commanding either while Sviatchenko was more assured in the second half after a torrid first 45 minutes. Maybe 6/10 and 5.5/10 for them respectively. 3 of the back 4 were nowhere near their best yet we still should have won around 7-2 despite not really having a solid defensive platform.
We’ve been a bit profligate in December in finishing off chances but it’s still 8 league wins and 1 Champions League draw at Manchester City in 9 matches this month. Our pace, power, movement, skill, variation etc etc going forward under Rodgers is fantastic.
