Shams turn to the GAA!

Dublin All-Ireland winner Philly McMahon has landed a role in soccer management by becoming a part of Trevor Croly’s backroom team at Shamrock Rovers FC.

McMahon was a sub during the Dubs’ historic All-Ireland final victory over Kerry last year and recently helped his native Ballymun Kickhams to their first senior championship crown in 27 years when they upset Kilmacud Crokes in the Dublin SFC final.

An expert in athlete training and strength building, McMahon joins Croly as the team’s strength and conditioning coach and follows in the footsteps of Dublin team mate Bryan Cullen to land a job in a high-profile coaching role, after the Metropolitans’ former captain was employed by Leinster Rugby last season to work primarily as the fitness coach for their academy.

This is great news

Well done Philly

The more elite sportsmen doing outreach work in Irish soccer the better

This couldn’t have been a worse appointment for TASE

Shamrock Rovers turn to a substitute GAA player to improve strength & fitness

Philly is last man standing

These boy’s must be seething

Makes an improvement from the drug dealer they used to have coaching children.

Ah man you couldn’t make this up.

And Brian Cullen taking Leinster under his wing as well.

The GAA.

Bit sickening to see ye all lining up here to have a go at tase.

Well done to McMahon, a big boost this for his business. Also credit to Shamrock Rovers for doing what it takes in assuring they get the best for their Club. As progressive a Club as you’re likely to see.

+1. For all that TASE might go against the grain he isn’t one for personalising the debate. Disappointing to see lads trying to wind the chap up

TASE will surely rise above it though

Is Cullen still at that caper with the “goys” at Leinster?

Whats this now?

EDIT Oh wait I get it, you were being funny or something, I think you were referring to Leinster Rugby?

Yeah, it was mentioned in the opening post that he was employed by Leinster last year. Just wondering is he still there?

Schadenfreude has always been a primary aspect of TFK.

As opposed to what Joe Quaid was up to…

He’ll be sacked within two weeks when the players revolt against him trying to fatten them up.

You’re probably not far from the truth here.

Sad to see. The Shams have run out of money to the extent that have to get some GGA Muldoon in to train them.

Will be hilarious seeing what contrived excuse TASE pulls out of the hat. I bet he tries to waffle on about him owing a prestigious gym or something.
