Fair play to the LLS for having that tribute show a few years ago

A lot of the father in Shane I reckon, seemed an interesting character ‘yknow’

I watched that doc years back. It was all on YouTube. Enjoyed it much more than the recent film, in that he was more coherent and together in it (by his standards)

His mother was Teresa Lynch, from Carney, Kildangan parish, between Ardcroney and Puckane

I actually new nothing about Kirsty MacColl at all. That was one bad ending. I was only reading up on it there.

I came across a singer who opened up for the Pogues once or twice. I don’t remember him telling me much about shane but he said he’d never seen drinking like what Sharon Shannon used to do.

Was MacGowan the only one with Irish roots in the original Pogues band?

Twas indeed. Late Late tribute to The Dubliners, circa '87 maybe? RTE peak, magnificent TV

Think so, Finer, Spider and Fearnley the originals. Maybe Ranken too
