Steve Lilywhite ( at the time married to Kirsty) tells a great story about introducing her backstage to Bob Dylan at Live Aid in ‘85. In realising who she was Dylan exclaims “your dad hated me!”.

Isn’t Maurice from Silvermines originally or am I mistaken

In the early days of the INTERNET there was a poster called the Carney Blondes named, he said, after a mother and daughter combo of ill repute from Carney.

Darryl Hunt, bass player who replaced Cait…

No. They moved there in later years, Probably the reason why Shane’s local was Philly’s, 1st pub in Nenagh when you drive in from the Mines

Is that a relation to the Philly Ryan who played for Dublin a bit and who’s dad has the pub in Dublin ?

No, those are the Ryans that own Chaplins, they’d be from Kilcommon, mountainy men

Saw it all mate. 10 years in UK’s top music & entertainment accountants, before that Virgin. Stuff that could not even be repeated on such an illustrious site as TFK.

Joey Cashman was tour manager, Pogues manager and Shane’s agent. He must have a book in him.

I thought Frank Murray was the Pogues’s manager.

He was but they fell out. I was Frank accountant too. Joey took over.

Was the “fade out guy” budget a real thing ?

Not a drug person so even if I came across it, I wouldn’t have a clue.

Was at the financial accounts end. People trying to treat condom machines as a legitimate business expense when they’d buy it for a house party. AIDS, 90’s etc.
