I read that earlier, so he would sometimes take 100 acid tabs? :exploding_head:

Perhaps, but I would also suggest she may be an unreliable narrator

That has to be an exaggeration. There’s no way…

At the risk of incurring @Fagan_ODowd ’s wrath, I’d also encourage you to listen to John Francis Flynn’s album of this year, Look Over the Wall, See the Sky. It’s marvellous.

I’ll have a listen, and don’t mind him. Intermittent crankiness accompanies age.

She’s not gonna go away quietly.

Would Shane have song any songs with Luke Kelly at all? Or was Luke dead by the time he teamed up with the Dubliners for a few songs? A search on YouTube doesn’t turn up any results

That’s a bit of a mean and shitty headline.

I am presuming it comes from her interview with the Guardian where she didn’t exactly phrase it like that.

The woman is recently bereaved. She deserves a bit of leeway.

Yet another thing for unhappy middle aged misogynists to grumble about from their e-barstools.

the pogues would only have been starting out when Luke Kelly died

Pogues started in early 80’s and Kelly died in '84 so thought there might have been a cross-over albeit being very unlikely

let it go Pinocchio

Luke Kelly was ill from 1980 on and his appearances after that were sporadic.
