Sign In If You're An American

I asked my woman,
what could I do,
to keep her happy the whole night through?
She said the only thing I want from you,
is a little, little bit of the big bamboo.

She like a big, big bamboo, bamboo.

Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay ay, ooh la la.

Working for the Yankee dollar.

What is America to me
A name, a map, or a flag I see
A certain word, democracy
What is America to me
The house I live in
A plot of earth, the street
The grocer and the butcher
Or the people that I meet
The children in the playground
The faces that I see
All races and religions
Thatā€™s America to me
The place I work in
The worker by my side
The little town the city
Where my people lived and died
The howdy and the handshake
The air a feeling free
And the right to speak your mind out
Thatā€™s America to me
The things I see about me
The big things and the small
That little corner newsstand
Or the house a mile tall
The wedding and the churchyard
The laughter and the tears
The dream thatā€™s been a growing
For more than two hundred years
The town I live in
The street, the house, the room
The pavement of the city
Or a garden all in bloom
The church the school the clubhouse
The millions lights I see
Especially the people
Thatā€™s America to me

Thats really quite beautiful Flano.

Iā€™m sure some African / American (American / African?) kid living in utter poverty in inner city Detroit will relate to that.

Where has the Taliban 1 US 0 thread got to?

Iā€™m guessing a few posters might have the flexibility of their views exposed a bit. Nor Flano though. He has been American since the days of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Brett the Hitman Heart.

You do realise we can love the country and the majority of its people, yet despise their very small minority but extremely powerful Politicians, Oil Barons and the army (as an entity, not the individuals) they control and abuse for their own gain? There is a great difference, which youā€™d see pretty quickly if you went there. The reality of everyday USA is quite different from what one may expect before they get there.

10th anniversary of 9/11 today.

Us Americans will never forget our heroes.

May God bless them all and may God bless America.

Itā€™s not funny.

Attacks on our proud country never are, Flano.

In Tebow we trust.

On this Veteranā€™s Day, I want to thank our serving troops, our former and fallen troops and our future troops. Thank you for protecting our great country.

A great country.
Built on Genocide and slavery, but then again, most evil empires are.
America. Fuck yeah.

Admins, delete this post please.

Nothing wrong with that post Flano. Fuck the begrudgers. Nothing in there to be ashamed of.

What? You donā€™t think America is a great country?
Thats very un-American of you Flano.

Slavery is not evil, itā€™s just people asserting their superiority over others.

Piles Hussain is coming across as a bitter, bitter man. Must be from a shitty, non-entity of a country like Ireland. :guns:

How very dare you. Iā€™m as American as apple pie and high school killing sprees.
I just said the country was great and all I get is abuse?
Just expressing my god given right to free speech brah.

Oh thatā€™s fair enough then. Sorry for any misunderstanding on my part.
