United could only dream of having a manager whose players give everything for him like Everton did tonight

To think they flew planes demanding his removal

And 12 years on and about 6 managers later they have a hipster like Amorim at the helm

Thank god Ferguson stuck the knife into Moyes back

Toni Kroos has revealed how close he came to signing for Manchester United in 2014, before David Moyes’ sacking - and Louis van Gaal’s subsequent arrival - ruined the deal.

He went on to win the World Cup with Germany that summer, join Real Madrid instead, and win 22 trophies in Spain, including five Champions Leagues.
In that time, Man Utd have won just five trophies.

He told German outlet Sports1: “In 2014, before I signed with Real Madrid, I had already agreed with Manchester United. That would have been a move from Bayern to United. But then they kicked out David Moyes, who I was still sitting on my couch with in Munich and hired Louis van Gaal. Then we both declined with thanks.”
