My sympathies @Juhniallio, those are tough waters youâre in. Go well.
Sympathies on your loss @Juhniallio sounds like your family had a great relationship with your parents, thatâs something to cerish. It also seems like you gave her the greatest of send offs possible.
Youâre a likes machine these days.
Canât possibly do justice to your mam in words. Especially when she was a master at them. But Jesus I have great memories of interactions with her. Getting humiliated at scrabble on a couple of occasions was a highlight. She thrived on putting the younger generations in their place.
Thereâs a poem she wrote about being a mother that is just fantastic writing. My PC skills meant I got to type out some memorable scripts for her back in the day but my contributions never featured on any credits.
But for me she was most of all just great fun. She loved a bit of roguery and we had brilliant times in your house with your folks and itâs hard to think of it so utterly changed now.
Take care of yourself.
Sorry for your loss pal. Looks after yourself.
Sorry mate. Iâll get onto her estate. God knows youâve turned off and on enough computers for us.
Sorry to hear this mate
Hope you are ok
Reading on twitter, she sounded like a great woman
Sorry for your losses @Juhniallio. They both reared a great group of kids based on your posts here. 2 passings in such a short space of time would take its toll on anyone so mind yourself and I hope your crew have good support around them.
Sorry for your loss @Juhniallio
In years to come when people hear your Ma passed so quickly after your Da, they will say she died of a broken heart. I always think that is such a wonderful saying. It also implies a very warm, happy, loving home and the way @Rocko and co speak of your family, it truly was.
Look after yourself.
Bernard Tapie
Jazz musician âDrâ Lonnie Smith. Aged 79. As well as a notable solo career he played with Lou Donaldson and George Benson. A whizz on the Hammond organ.
Lars Vilks.
Bizarrely about 11 or 12 years ago two radicalised American women were arrested with a man in Waterford for plotting to kill him, as featured in the documentary âJihad Janeâ.
Would it be safe to assume this wasnât an accident?
Reports say that it was the car Vilks was travelling in which was on the wrong side of the road. The two policemen escorting him in the car were also killed.
The truck driver isnât suspected of wrong doing anyway.
For somebody to decide to become a Swedish police officer and manoeuvre themselves into a career position where they were trusted be Vilksâs driver, all so they could carry out a kamikaze suicide mission and and take out Vilks in the process, well, that would be serious dedication to the cause. That would be proper, calculated long game stuff.
