When Ben & Jerry were born they were in the neo-natal for a while. They were the 2nd/3rd children to be admitted in there in what was then the new CUMH. The first kid was one born to a heroin addict and they were working the drugs out of the childs system. This child was okay thankfully but Christ it is tough going for the kid obviously as they didnât ask for it, but for the staff too. I donât know how they do it.

The Mrs has a young lass in working with them on school work experience or something. A wonderful young girl she said of 16 or so. Her parents foster kids. Theyâve a two year old who theyâll keep in their care until she is eighteen. Theyâve had her since she was a few weeks old, and was born an addict. The girl told my Mrs how traumatic it was seeing this baby come out of the addiction but sheâs flying it now. Her mother had twins subsequently that were also taken off her. The poor woman was probably sleeping around to get her fix. Itâs an awful awful drug

Thatâs right. Did time in the UK as well. He was strongly suspected of the death of 6 addicts after strychnine was robbed during a pharmacy break-in in Dublin.

I happened to be up there recently getting the Luas and it is one of the biggest ghetto areas I have seen in Dublin,
I canât imagine it was much better in 1943.
But like everywhere, a lot of people would have grown up there and not all ended up like King Scum.
Tanya Felloni, who I believe to be his daughter or at least the daughter of his ex-wife studied law in Trinity. Not sure if she finished the degree and was up in court for assaulting a police officer at one point. The only people in the flats with the trappings of wealth are the dealers and they become the role models with many of the apartments missing father figure roles. Tony wouldnât have been stuck for legitimate work if he wanted it.
