I would have said a celebrity.
The Day of the Jackal is a brilliant book.
Certainly was a celebrity in the 70s and 80s. Was a regular on the Late Late.

Portlaoise GAA Club are shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our former sponsor and long time supporter, Michael Killeen, after a brief illness.
Originally from Tynagh in County Galway (Michaelās father John Killeen was a famed Galway hurler who played in the 1953 All-Ireland Hurling Final) the Killeen family moved to Portlaoise in the 1960ās.
Michael established Laois Hire in the early 1990ās which quickly became one of the best hire service providers in the Country, and one of the largest employers in the County. Michael and Laois Hire became sponsors of Portlaoise Senior Hurlers initially, before becoming Club Sponsors for many years.
Michael and his wife Maureen were instrumental in rescuing the Club from financial peril after the crash and indeed, without their generous assistance, the Centre of Excellence at Fr. Browne Avenue would never have come to be.
Our sincere condolences to Michaelās wife, Maureen, his son Michael Jnr., his family (including brother Des, a County Champion hurler with the Club), his friends and colleagues at Laois Hire/HSS Hire. Ar dheis DĆ© go raibh a anam dĆlis.

I was chatting to my local barman at home a while back and we were talking about my Dad.
āHe won the card game here at Christmas, won the bottle of whiskey, and was dead a few months laterā said the barman.
Another patron pipes up.
āJesus - what to fuck did you put in the whiskey?!ā
