There would seem to be an obvious pun in Nights in white satin when it comes to death
Surprised it’s been 7 hours ![]()

Diane Keaton
Not a celebrity?
I donno about that.
Won an Oscar for Annie Hall and was nominated three other times.
That’s harsh now…
Shur’ it’s that thick lump @balbec’s fault. The passing of the 3 times nominated and once Oscar winner was noted in the appropriate thread a full 90 minutes before his clanger……
The failure of the Balbec hurlers (and advancing years) have him in a spin of late……
Yes, we’re in agreement. Im questioning why is it in this thread
A star I suppose
I don’t go traipsing down the threads looking for the perfect one. Haven’t got all day like you.
Keep writing us off. We’ll be back.
Ace Frehley.
The Jets would occasionally play New York groove when they’d score or win (so very, very occasionally). Rip
Kiss in the main were/are a shower of pretentious cunts embodied most by that prick Simmons but Frehley was an excellent guitarist.
Sam Rivers, Limp Bizkit bassist.
Dave Ball, the other lad in Soft Cell and also the Grid. Aged just 66.
Swamp Thing ![]()
RIP
He was badly done up the last couple of years. Had been in an induced coma and was in a wheelchair. They finished a new record recently.
He was a cool guy, Dave Ball, RIP
Milan Mandaric died last week I see
Many years ago when RTE Radio 2 (now 2fm) started Dave Fanning had a show on after midnight. In fairness it was a good show and indeed it was a good station then playing a lot of good music with none of the wacky zany tomfoolery that station bosses think young people want to listen to now.
Anyway well before they were well known a chap from Strokestown would regularly phone into Dave and ask him to play some Soft Cell and Dave to be fair to him would oblige. It only struck me after what a grim existence it must have been for the lad to be the only gay in Strokestown. The only gay in Waterford had to walk into town from Ferrybank with two alsations on a leash.
