There will be nothing made of this by the general public. News for a few days and back to normality in a few days. The Irish are second only to the Scottish in the servile stakes.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. Anything to do with Water charges seems to be finally drawing the public closer to uproar even though there
are probably much bigger stories that the public ignore.

Says a lot for the moral character of an entire country when it’s government allows a deal like the Siteserv deal which allowed a hopelessly insolvent company be sold to not the highest bidder involving a write-off of €110 million of taxpayers money by Anglo and allowed the shareholders €5 million between them.
