Six Nations 2011

So referees in a professional sport will allow their decisions to be made based on what they personally think of players?

Munster are always going complaining to referees at HT.
I’m sure it definitely comes back to haunt them.

Joe Duffy needs a call today overs this. Mods, do your job please, this is rugby country remember…

whatever about ireland, there’s certainly an issue with munster and refs at the moment
give a dog a bad name and all that.
watch how many times a ref comes across to the opposite side of the scrum to see how munster props bind.

rog, doc, etc. would not be on any xmas card lists either

Lads, this is a professional sport - not a Junior B Cork or Limerick league

It still involves humans though Mac, don’t be so naive.

I agree with much that. Some referees have pre-conceived ideas that are apparent from the opening whistle. A couple of scrum penalties given against Ireland last week were ludicrous.

Happens the other way too. Nigel Owens is a good ref but his familiarity with the Irish players helps for the benefit of the doubt regularly.

He has openly said he found the reactions of the Munster players to him being gay as the most refreshing and open he’d come across, and met them all on a night out once with his boyfriend or something along those lines.

A group of men who spend half their lives with their heads shoved up another mans arse are hardly in a position to be judgemental re: gays

An O’ Connor on the wing for France U-20’s tonight, and he can play for us. Serious looking player.

France a far bigger side, and have overall destroyed Ireland in the scrum, but strangely i think Ireland have the better set of rugby players on show here going by the 2nd half, in terms of skills. Ireland the more cohesive unit by a fair bit now for a while.

Bad start for Italy

The try ya, but the actual start and positivity was admirable, and the 3 points back now.

Parisse is a legend.

England are completely over talked again, Tom Palmer is shit for starters, and Nick Easter is a good club player, nothing more.

Agreed England aren’t great and look to be overhyped but they are full of confidence at the moment…Looks like they are going to try and play fast and loose here and counter at every opportunity…

England went very early on that scrum, how did he not give a penalty to Italy? The refereeing of the scrum is a farce.

If Italy continue this way i can say goodbye to my +16, crazy opening to the game.

That Hartley always struck me as a bit of a cunt.

South African* sure, what would you expect

  • or is he a kiwi, i can’t remember

I had it in my head he was a Kiwi? I’m ashamed to sa I dont know much of this Hape fella, Puke can you give me a brief rundown if its not too much trouble?

England offside all day, wake up ref
