Slovakia v Ireland - Euro 2021 Play-Off Semi-Final - Thursday October 8

12th November

I seen bits of the first game.

Slovakia are fairly shit as well in fairness. They do have Hamsik back now though

And Ireland are ???

I said ā€œas wellā€

Didnt know if the ā€œas wellā€ referred to Ireland, Liverpool or ManYou

Josh Cullen has joined Anderlect so he links up with Stevie Irelandā€™s young lad under kompany

Iā€™d have liked for Brady to start ahead of Hourihane but think that injury means heā€™s unlikely to start. He hasnā€™t really played much. Iā€™ve an appointment with his brother during the week though so Iā€™ll ask him for his thoughts.

Brady fell out with heā€™s family I think mate.

Yeah saw that before but I can mediate if required.

Be great news for us.

Hopefully Spock is impacted and cannot be in the dressing room before, during and after the game. Would be a big boost to our chances

Was reading an interview in the Indo with Oā€™Dowda saying Kenny has been brilliant with him. Arter was saying the same after the Finland game. It put me in mind of Tony Mowbray at Celtic. Developing close bonds with and focusing on players that ultimately arenā€™t good enough, and then the whole thing was a disaster. Iā€™m sorry for the negative thoughts, but I was shaken by how inept the set up was for the first two games.

Slovakia are 8/5, draw 2/1 and Ireland are 19/10 with Ladbrokes.

I never bet against Ireland but thatā€™s a cracking price on Slovakia

None of the teams in these play offs are great shakes . All of them finished 3rd in their groups . Ireland are decent value here.

Slovakia are very poor themselves, I can see this scoreless and all the way to pens. Both sides are 15/2 to go through on pens.

Was this fella attending a gaa game as the weekend? The scummy soccer crowd reckon its all the GAAā€™s fault

You have a serious inferiority complex sometimes.

Iā€™d suggest their group was slightly tougher than ours, with Croatia, Wales and Hungary in it.

Theyā€™re not world beaters by any means but Ireland will need to improve to win over there.

As @Watchyourtoes says, our best chance might be penalties
