The snow put pay to our astro game this evening. Just drove back there and conditions are pretty poor. Take it handy though and you should be alright.
Boxty - you part of the OāBriens Monday club?

snow had cleared in these parts by lunch time but heavy showers between 1-2 still on the ground now and temperatures already at freezin with water on some roads due to earlier melted snow roads becoming dangerous already
also in wexford a lorry jacknife near the taghmon turn off on the duncannon new line this morning
in relation to the cop car crashin it was reported to me that this car was seen going at mad speeds towards the crash you would think that the have the sense to take car on the slippy roads
also reports that gorey is now white also
Fair point, tis some tradition. As I am a collar and tie man I never into a regular Monday club, but attended many a good Monday session. Best place to start was a pub that had a shop at the front, there would always be a few in and out.
We used play rugby on Sundays so would go on the piss on Monday when I was a student, but thats just college.
A good few lads I know from home would work a full day Saturday to have the monday off. Some fucking session then, drink the shit out of it til about 8 o clock monday evneing and home to bed then.
In our local there was always some misfortune who wouldnt have a bob, but hed never be short of a a drink. On the basis that he would

Thatās a great shout, whenever I am in Manchester for a game I drink in a local called the Drum, and there is this local oul lad there who scabs enough for his gargle and match ticket all day just by being a gopher, he goes to the away games n all

Take a snow day tomorrow.
I wish. The cunts were all taking our numbers this evening, they are going to arrange alternative transport for us if we canāt make it in. The cunts even asked me āhow long would it take for you to walk in?ā
Lads,
Anyone in Dublin City, South, West, Kildare, North & West Wickla need to stay off the roads. Heavy snow (serious stuff falling now btw) and severe freezing is forcast for tonight.
Take a snow day tomorrow.
The snow came milling down again in Wexford town around the same time as MGGās post above and the roads are pretty treacherous now. Iām snowed in and canāt get back to Dublin - shame, I was looking forward to work tomorrow.
I want to make a snowman out on the balcony but the fucking stuff wonāt stick enough
bouli bouli

I got new snowboots if you want to break them in for me - Ugg Articās with matching leg warmers.
BTW: All Flights into DAP cancelled.
Cheers honey but my kickers are on the rad as I type this so I think Iāll survive without a new pair of Uggs. Stick a plaster on and just grin and bear it and thereāll be no fear of you, donāt start getting all Bandage-like about it.
2 hours it took from Maynooth to Sandyford this evening. Gardai gave out to me for driving too fast on the M50 as the car hit 30KPH!
Still snow free in the Limerick area. Kinda disappointing.
As ifā¦but then Iād actually have to walk somewhere.
Iāll manage with a good pedicure and foot massage if it happens.
Fuckin hell lads
Some serious snow there this evening.
3.5 hrs from Kilkenny to Knocklyon this evening. I left at 5- all was well til the end of the Carlow bypasss and the snow started bucketing down. Got through Castledermot and I seriously considered pulling in due to the flurries being so thick you could hardly see where you were driving.
The car in front of me aboiut 50m jack-knifed and nearly hit a truck in front. We came upon a line of trucks literally abandoned halfway on the shoulder and half on the road. Took 45 min to get past because of the traffic coming in the other direction from Dublin. Up to the M9 and only one lane was passable- there was about 5 inches in the passing out lane.
Onto the M7 and fuckers driving at 20mph in the middle of lanes, forcing you to pass out in the dodgy icy passing lane. THere was a lot of skidding and sliding done by me. Eventually hit Newlands around 7.50/ 8 and down Belgard to the bypass and the M50 at Tallaght before getting to Knocklyon.
Iām fucked completely.
Two serious questions- where were the gritters? Do we not own snow ploughs. The roads werenāt gritted when I drove down this morning at 7 and were the same coming back. Snow should never be lying on a motor way. Thatās a fucking disgrace. What are the councils doing?
I lived in Donegal for 2 years and hit some serious snow there. I tell you the first sign on snow or frost and the gritters were out. The roads were nearly always passable. I canāt believe the main East South artery was practically impassable due to a few inches of snow.
Iām not going down again tomorrow with the snow thatās falling tonight.

I donāt think itās worth getting sore feet just to get a massage, just go for the massage on its own.
Donāt think the pregnant missus would be too happy with that!

Not regularly Farmer unless I bump into a well known victualler who purveys his wares in Ballinamore.
Fenagh, Kesh or Drumcong all have their happy little gatherings.

I know who you are referring to Boxty. Does he still have a butcherās in Ballinamore? Didnt think he was doing that anymore.
