I was waiting to see if we won first.

I see on Facebook there that Foil Arms and Hogg had some skit picked up by one of these ‘aggregators’ called The Hook.

The video has 38 m views. Which is pretty phenomenal really when you think about it. How much cash would those lads have gotten for that? Anything? Or would they have given the rights to the video for nothing in exchange for exposure?

I’ve seen 2 of their videos and they were seriously unfunny. Is the video good?

Not particularly

As funny as the usual shit these sites pick up I suppose. It’s about going through US emigration control.

38 m views is nuts. They have a few other videos on own page that have over 1m views.

Must be getting something for it surely

Conor Cusack going after the GAA & the bereaved family of some poor chap on Bookface.

A young GAA hurler killed himself last night for the simple reason he was gay. For fuck sake. We need more high profile GAA players and sportsmen giving visibility to their sexuality For fuck fuck sake. Killing yourself because your family and sports organisation didn’t support you for who you really are. We all, players and administrators, carry some shame and sadness in the GAA tonight. Will be a long night of tears…

Someone should reply saying just “you’re”

That’s fairly inflammatory and it seems a bit crass to have a go at the deceased chap’s family. How does he know what kind of relationship they had with him?

“Will be a long night of tears”

Will that attention seeking prick ever fuck off.

Using the devastation of another family to gain a few likes on bookface. Mind you he’ll be thrilled with almost 6,000 likes already and 2.4k shares.

Lovely touch to blame the family too as they are still reeling with an unimaginable loss. He has probably guaranteed himself another slot on Ray D’Arcy or Tubridy this week anyway.

Does being gay and playing GAA make a suicide more heartbreaking than being straight and not playing GAA? Is Conor suggesting there is a pecking order of grief?

Had a quick look there as four of my Facebook “friends” shared it. Fucking grief junkies with all their self serving comments. Expressing sympathy and they don’t even know the person who sadly died or the tragic circumstances.

Fucking hell, what a country of snowflake grief junkies society has turned into. Been saying it for years but I really have to delete my bookface account. It only provokes ire.

Outstanding post, pal.

You see these fuckers, Grief Porn is what they trade in.

I agree with most of your points there, pal but to be fair you used the devastation of a family in order to score a cheap point about a sport you don’t like very recently so bit hypocritical of you here.

I do despise grief junkies though.

Did he?

Well said Horsebox. Cusack is a troubled man . The other fella has no such excuse. And what he did was far worse

I don’t feel any shame as a result of this poor chaps’s sad demise. I am a player and administrator.

you should feel ashamed about that

No he isn’t, pal. He’s suggesting that if young gay people were accepted and supported by those close to them rather than being rejected or ostracised by people with neanderthal beliefs, they mightn’t consider suicide as an option.

Stop being such a snowflake while simultaneously branding “suicide victims” as snowflakes.
