One of my kids had a load of long division to do yesterday, I was working away with one of the others on Irish, anyway she arrives along with all the answers after a few minutes, no work shown
I admire her ability to stick to a story though, spent about a half an hour looking for the sheet with all the work on it, looking under couches, beds the whole lot,
For a finish I let her off by ‘redoing’ around half of them

Texts and Tests might be one of my favourite math books of all time but it’s hard to beat Busy at Maths for the artwork.

The back of the book can be wrong

I remember thinking it was the greatest thing of all time that the answers were all at the back of the book. It was the worst thing ever though, because then you knew you were wrong and couldn’t just leave it

Heresy

Tis like building a corona model kid, with the information we have there’s more than one right answer

I’ll get my coat

Johnny Wrafter?

If you weren’t Wrafter maths, you were nothing.

@Aristotle

It appears you are correct. I take it back. Well done.

In Leaving Cert stats, a 100% correct answer could potentially be “somewhere between -500 and 25000”.

Great work but in case @ironmikes daughter takes that down line by line there should be a 2 before the y(y) in line (ii). You corrected it in line (iii).

Good point.

I despise mathematics.

you have been given a job to do.
you must transport 3,000 apples from limerick to cork.
it is 1,000 miles from limerick to cork.
your van can carry 1,000 apples at any one time.
every mile you travel going from limerick to cork you must pay 1 apple in tax.
you pay no apple tax when travelling from cork to limerick.

Whats the most amount of apples you can get to cork?

What’s going one here , good will hunting ?
