Spurs V Chelsea

Will be live via the Live Sport link on the left hand side - registered users only.

Gonna watch this later on. Have been really impressed with Berbatov this season and he’s forged a good understanding with Keane that’s developing all the time.

Chelsea are dogged fooks though and after coming back from 3-1 down in the first game they’ll fancy their chances. Terry will be back in the centre of defence and Drogba was rested on Saturday (after steamboatsam made him captain in his fantasy team) so he’ll be fresh. Essien’s back from injury too.

Pretty sure commentary will be in English on this one so should be entertaining enough.

I predicted a demise of Spurs this season but after a tricky start they’ve bedded down a strong team. Excellent going forward and if King were to play 38 games next season I’d fancy them to challenge the top 4. Full backs are very attacking (like Lee a lot) and they have goal threats in midfield. Be interesting to see how Berbatov does next season in goalscoring terms. A class act other than that definitely. And I have a feeling I’ll be eating my words to Bandage last Thursday in the pub about him being another Ibrahimovic.

I backed Berbatov to finish top scorer in Euro 2004 and Christ he was bad but he’s a quality player and had 3 decent scoring seasons in the Bundesliga in a row before Spurs bought him, i.e. he wasn’t a flash in the pan.

I see where Berbatov has been valued at 40m by Jol.

When Spurs bought him I thought it was a poor signing. I admit I wouldn’t have seen him in the Bundesliga very often. The year Leverksuen got to the final of the CL Berbatov was upfront and was quite poor. I also saw him missing a sitter against Liverpool in 2005, coming on the back of a glowing reputation.

I’m not sure about him

This is working in perfect quality with English commentary for anyone interested.

Tried it there and I’m getting a picture of what looks like Jennifer Lopez posing with a tiger with no sound

Is that normal?

Leave it running for a minute. You should see a counter up the top left moving up the percentages and after 2 or 3 minutes it starts.

Farmer (or anyone else) let me know if it worked for you. It should be straightforward, it just takes a while to fire up at the start.

What a rubbish game so far. Both teams paralysed by fear of conceding the first goal and neither showing any attacking ambitions.

Berbatov has 19 goals this season, cc. Hardly a poor return.

Very good second half. Clinical finishing the difference - super strikes by Sheva and SWP.

Looked like a few Spurs fans ran onto the pitch at the end and threw some boxes at the Chelsea players. Definitely saw Lampard taking a few smacks. Other Chelsea players and stewards quickly intervened.

Saw it mentioned last week but in theory Chelsea and ManU might have to play each other 3 times in the last 7 days of the season - rearranged league game cos of them both reaching cup semis, FA Cup Final and Champions Cup Final. Chelsea going for 4 trophies and ManU 3.

Has Jamie Redknapp become the most hated person on TV?

Wouldnt be far off with that estimation Bandage, he’s a complete tool. I love Frank, dad is doing a great job.
Fook off.

I think a poll should be set up for this but it would probably be pointless, unless there is actually anybody on here who thinks differently?

it wouldnt be pointless if we create a poll solely for Rednapps stupid remarks. Another one i remember from a couple of weeks ago is:

“ohhh i mean, i mean he’s got everything, the looks, the hair, everything”

funny enough he was talking about c ronaldo on that occasion also. Must have a thing for him!

Very good point from Mediawatch today:

A Family Affair
Was the absolutely outraged Jamie Redknapp who ranted, “They have got to make an example of him or it will go on. He should go to prison,” about the Spurs fan whose aim was so bad that he managed to miss the largest man in the Premiership with his punch, the same Jamie Redknapp who repeatedly giggled like a little girl when Sky were analysing the punch from Valencia’s David Navarro that actually did connect and broke Nicolas Burdisso’s nose?

And if it was the same Jamie Redknapp (and Lord we hope there aren’t two of them) then was the only difference between the incidents that one involved Jamie’s cousin Frank?

for those of you who havent seen it yet:

pretty funny actually, he runs about 30 yards and completly misses him!
