I think O’Neill will be conservative and bring in Whelan and drop back Brady unfortunately. I like the balance of the 4 we had in midfield, with Whelan in there the fluidity is gone
I assume we will set up solid enough and look to be level at worst after 65 minutes before bringing on McClean and Long to up the energy and tempo.
Convinced we can nick this tomorrow. Take out Lewandowki and the teams are fairly well matched. Thought we were slightly the better team in Lansdowne against them.
It’ll be very difficult but if we can get to half time level it’s on…
Country will grind to a halt tomorrow night as people making their way home after various county finals up and down the country settle down to watch this. Should be a belting rendition of Amhrain Na BhFiain out in Warsaw. Jealous of the lads out there.
Still have the playoff secured so no pressure tomorrow.
Yeah yeah. Milik is out. Just back in from the pub after drinking for several hours with a few alright sorts over for the game. Milik is decent for Ajax but didn’t get a kick against Scotland.
Whelan was excellent at home to Georgia last month when the team was floundering a bit. I urge all posters to leave him alone. That said, McCarthy had his best game for Ireland playing Whelan’s usual role the other night.
The day is dragging for me. I’ve done a sprint session, shaved my balls and a few other admin tasks but there’s still over 5 hours to kick-off. I’ll go for something to eat now shortly and start listening to some appropriate tunes from around 6pm on.
Simpleton cunts looking for the attention of Joe.ie, which they have no doubt already got and which website is where I can only presume you sourced the picture.
If Ireland don’t nab second place, we have to hope Albania don’t beat Armenia and hope Croatia overtake Norway in last match. Then we’ll be seeded for playoffs.
