SRFC & Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane will be enjoying the MLS off-season in December, so he could well be in Ireland when Shamrock Rovers take on his former club Spurs in the Europa League. He intends to pop along and watch.
Keane is aware of the stir that the League of Ireland champions have caused in his native Tallaght. They weren’t around when he was growing up, but family have let him know what has been going on. “I’ve been getting updates all the time,” he said. “It can only be good for Irish football. It needs something like this to help the league progress and let people see from afar that it’s a good league. I’m sure it will be a great occasion playing against a top top team and, if I’m home, I would definitely go to it.”
Keane, who praised his former team-mate and new Hoops signing Rohan Ricketts, was diplomatic enough when asked about who he’d be cheering for. “A tough one, Obviously, you’d like to see Rovers progress to help Irish football in general.”

Good. its where that degenerate belongs.
