The sports in big trouble lads, bar two years 13 & 17 one of the big 4 has won it every year since the millennium. I was hopeful when Galway broke through that it could give a lift to the weaker counties, but sadly back to the big 4 hegemony again.

yesterday may have been a great party and all that but the reality is that next competitive hurling game in this country will be played next may- and realistically as limerick have proven this year the whole provincial structure is a sham , you just need to sneak in third in the group - therefore the so called munster final is non value added
all things considered- the next game of merit will be the 2019 quarter finals in July 2019 and oh hey guess who the 6 teams will be

I’m fully convinced John Kiely threw that game in Ennis. The 3rd placed route makes far more sense than the 1st or 2nd place one.

If Limerick had gone the Munster final route they would potentially have had to play Cork 3 times to win the AI.

The bottom team in Munster and Leinster should have to play off for relegation. A punishment for finishing bottom would eliminate last round dead rubbers in Munster
