Summer 2012 Transfer window thread

Whichever team sign Eden Hazard, I do hope their fans utilise Richard Marx’s Atlantic 252 staple “Hazard” when they make up a song for him.

Hazard has announced on Twitter this evening that he’ll be joining Chelsea.

Didnt name Chelsea. Strange one all the same. Surely City would have offered him more.

FFS.

Champions League winners = Chelsea.

He didnt say the year. The fella seems to like the attention of dragging the whole thing out.

If it’s true if might clear the way for United to sign Modric so not all bad news.

Hazard certainly seemed to find the drama exciting for himself anyway. Slightly surprising decision given he doesn’t know who the manager will be but that’s modern football.

I think Modric is probbably out of Uniteds price range being honest. A deal for Kagawa is looking more likely at this stage. United need to sign a full back as well. Baines would be decent enough. Evra has looked out of sorts for most of the last 18 months. The 18 year old off Crewe Nick Powell has been watched by Fergie in recent weeks. He scored a fantastic goal in the playoff final for Crewe yesterday.

Hazard has managed to make a lot of people dislike him, through his self importance propaganda. Talk about heaping pressure on yourself. Still can’t believe he chose Chelsea!

RTT has informed me that Hazard is a prick, I’m happy enough to go along with that opinion.

There was a lot of talk last season about Liverpool having secured some form of agreement with Lille regarding him.

Agreed on Modric, out of Utd’s price range. Kagawa looks decent and would be a good addition if he joins. Wouldn’t touch Baines, at the price mentioned, £10m plus, there has to be better options available.

Hazard is gas, he wants guarantees on where he will play and whether he will be a first choice and then joins a club with no manager! Is Roman going to continue picking the team or was it John Terry who offered the assurances?

I hope to fuck he flops like Torres. An awful cunt of a man this Hazard character is.

Another player turns down myoofc

Emmm.

Laughed a small bit when I read this earlier

As a consequence of Harry Redknapp’s dyslexia, Tottenham Hotspur have just announced the signing of Eddie Izzard

If City really wanted Edin they would have spent as shown in the past. myoofc havent a red schillin to spend on anyone and when they try to, the player wont go to them

The empire continues to crumble…

Wrong. City have to be careful with their wages with FFP coming in in 2015. The salaries for this season and last also count I believe.

The reality is that City couldn’t offer Hazard the level of wages that he was looking for.

Kagawa will be welcomed at Old Trafford in the coming days and Fergie will be knocking on 'Arry’s door to try and tempt Modric with a move to OT as well. It’s all good.

I imagine City could have constructed a significant signing on fee into the contract to overcome the FFP problems.
