Yeah it seems that the team and players have stayed close to Gordon. He will get a Superbowl ring too. Doubt heāll play again, but he seems to have good ties with team still. Would have been a huge help in that game last night
Wasnāt it really bizarre how McVay never really tried to find his TEās last night?
Okay Reynolds, Woods & Cooks saw action but Cooks saw the majority of deep throws to zero return.
McVay got it badly wrong although Phillips kept up his side of house.
Hasnāt been a big part of the offense all season, can only think of the Seattle game where the TEs were strongly featured. The Rams offense really went downhill after Kupp went out and Gurley not at 100% finished them off. The strength they had earlier in the season was unpredictability, so you had to man mark all their offensive weapons, but since early December teams have had success against them playing zone defense. Goff has always been fragile when things donāt go according to plan.
Wasnt his best night but youāre doing the Rams D a disservice there. They were on him all night ā all he had was Edleman and a couple of plays from Gronk ā¦ a lesser QB would have lost thatā¦ His pass to Gronk in triple coverage was immense
Canāt really be held against Edelman though or even an asterisk against this Superbowl win, as drug use is rampant in the NFL. The NFL are a complete joke regarding drug policy, itās not that long ago that suspensions were the same for PEDs and pot, and testing for pot nowadays is so fucking stupid, given itās legal in many states and it hardly improves performance.
yeah the NFL is a really odd one with its drug use and policies. So many big name players have had drug suspensions and no one bats an eyelid to it. Maybe its a 2 fold effect, that they dont really care because it is entertainment. But the bigger factor, is that maybe they see the physical toll the game takes on players and they arent begrudged a few medicinal treatments to heal or mask injuries.
The Gladiator podcast about Aaron Hernandez had a very good piece about pain killers in the NFL and how rampant they are.
I do find it somewhat amusing how so many are jumping on the Edelman thing after the fact, no one really minded when the suspension first came about nor did many care when Von Miller got a bigger suspension but also won the Superbowl MVP. At least Hanegan acknowledged that one in his article.
Its hard to care about drug cheats when the NFL doesnt really care either and give paltry suspensions. As above, I think it is a case of acknowledging some players cant survive without taking some.
