One of the Lions beat writers described their preseason as the worst he’s seen in a decade.
Yeah, Patricia had explained it away saying he used preseason games to put lads in uncomfortable positions/match ups to evaluate them. But they have been utterly mediocre in every facet of play and have been flogged reading between the lines.
Only silver lining is there have been no injuries and Frank Ragnow looks an utter stud of a player
Before losing Mack the overs/understand was set at 8 for Oakland.
If it is anywhere around 7 or 7.5 after this I will be lumping on the unders. Serious roster unheavels with a lot of old vets brought in and Gruden appears to be a bit of a dinosaur.
AJ McCarron traded to the Raiders
McKinnon injured for the Niners.
Gruden has lost the plot
Bears acquired OLB Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round pick, and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick from the Raiders in exchange for a 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, and a 2019 sixth-round pick.
Some deal for the Bears when you consider the Saints gave up two 1st rounders to select Marcus Davenport. I’m hearing the Raiders gave the Bills a 5th rounder for McCarron, Gruden is having a mental breakdown.
Their drafts of the last few years have been shocking. McCarron pretty much means they are giving up on Cook.
Getting rid of Mack and paying guys like Doug Martin, Jordy Nelson, Derrick Johnson and Bowman and Bruce Irvin seems like utter madness. Build around Carr and Mack and develop through the draft except they have cut the majority of the recent picks
Got rid of King the best punter in the league if a bit wild straight off the bat without even attempting to give things a go!
And now they are cutting Bryant who they gave up the 79th pick in the draft for a few months back
Not looking good for McKinnon @anon7035031.
I hope he’s OK, I don’t like seeing players get injured.
Fake News
Have NBC got an agenda against Jed York?
Decent read
Huge loss. He was in for a big, big year. Step up, Alf.
Took breida late in another league, be interested to see if they trust him at all
3rd down back is all.
Decent scat back.
That’s a great trade for the Bears. They could well be picking late by 2020 and the Raiders look like they’re going into the toilet so that 1st and 2nd round pick they’ve basically swapped might not be too far apart.
