You’re down 8 points with 2 and a half minutes to go. You have the ball on your opponents 8 yard line. 4th and goal and you have an all time great QB. On the other side of the field you have the best QB of all time and the most experienced postseason player ever.

If you take the field goal, you need a defensive stop and a touchdown. If you go for it and don’t get 8, you need the same thing, a defensive stop and a touchdown. Taking the field goal gives you worse field position when trying to get the stop and to potentially start your next drive. Taking the field goal leans in to putting your fate in Brady’s hands.

I have no idea why you kick the field goal there. Bonkers.
