Super Bowl LV - The triumphant trail to Tampa (Part 1)

Iā€™d say the Rams had to add to the offer for Detroit to take Goff.
I donā€™t know how good of a benchmark this is for a Watson deal. Youā€™d have to think a Tua/Darnold & 2 firsts would be the opening offer.

Detroit got some fools ransom there!

Rams havenā€™t had a 1st round pick since 2016 and wonā€™t have another one again until at least 2024 :joy:

Nice deal for Detroit and a bridge QB to boot.

The rams are on record in saying that they donā€™t rate first round picks and cover them like other teams. They have a pretty good record of unearthing quality draft picks in day two and three of the draft.

Great landing spot for Stafford too. Mcvey will get him into the hall of fame is my reckoning. The nfc isnā€™t half as strong as the afc nor has it as much qb talent.

Goff will do as a stop gap, if there is still a de bet qb option available at 7 Iā€™d still expect the lions to take him and look to trade goff next summer if needs be. No dead money implications from acquiring goff either

I donā€™t see how itā€™s such a bad deal for the Rams. If theyā€™d Stafford in 2019 v the Pats theyā€™d be super bowl winners.

You want playoffs or a top 3 pick. My worry is Goff will get you 5 or 6 wins for a couple years and keep Detroit in no manā€™s land.

He better pray they tag Kenny G or heā€™ll be checking down to Swift 100+ times next year.

It is a good WR draft and FA. Golloday said during the week he wants to stay and is pumped by Dan Campbell, no such utterings were made under Patricia except that he wanted to get paid.

I think they will tag Golloday and maybe even trade him of they could get a second round pick for him if he is looking for silly money.

Goff is a point guard of a QB who will at least give you a chance to be relatively competative. The Defence is woeful and will take more than one off season to fix so Iā€™d be surprised if the Lions are picking outside the top 10 in the draft. He is as good as anything the Lions would have been able to sign in free agency this summer anyway.

But this trade takes a bit of pressure off this years first round pick, if the QB isnā€™t there they can take a WR, Parsons or trade back and if the QB is there they can take him and sit him for a year and probably get a day 2 pick for Goff next year.

Iā€™d expect Stafford to have a Carsen Palmer/Cardinals esque run with the Rams.

If nothing else, youā€™ll become more au fait with the delectable Ms. Christen Harper.

A standout on Hard Knocks just gone.

Fair chance she doesnā€™t see out a Detroit winter.

Tom Brady aside, thereā€™s no decent QBs in the NFC. Stafford will have a great 5/6 years.

Hopefully all the Detroit draft picks head out for the coin toss when they next face the Rams ala the RG3 trade.

What a little bitch

Stafford said heā€™d go anywhere except New England, thatā€™s interesting.

Patricia is gone back thereā€¦ Must have been serious beef.

Proof that Stafford doesnā€™t want to win

This is good explaining why the trade makes sense, from around 3 minutes in.
