Super Bowl LVI - The intricate incline to Inglewood (Part 1)

All reports from local beat writers is extremely positive of him and new coaching staff. Players seem to have very much brought in, don’t think one player skipped voluntary workouts.

Doubt the team is capable of winning more than 8 games but I expect they will be a bit like the Panthers last year, winning half a dozen or so and playing everyone else hard.

Sorry Big Dan, what planet are you on? I think they’ll win 1 to 3. They won 5 last year, mostly just through Stafford’s strength of will, now they’ve lost him and Galloday. They’re WRs must be in the bottom 3 or 4 of the league and they’ve a shit QB and last year their defence was awful.

Ssssshhhhh to fuck will you

You need to factor in just how badly coached the team was over the last three years. The defence was historically bad last year, worse than the one which went 0-16. The defence will take a big step forward simply because it is no longer running Matt Patricia’s scheme which put players in no win situations and the culture and morale was terrible.

It is a full rebuild so they may well only win two or three games but I would expect them to compete a lot better than previously where they would consistently collapse in the second half of games and completely incapable of stopping the run.

I’ve lumped on Detroit to win the division.

If they won 4 that would be an impressive showing

Like I said, I think they will be a bit like the Panthers last year. They will play most teams hard and I’d expect them to be in the majority of their games half way through the 4th quarter. The Lions conceded 30 points or more in ten games last year and only once held a team under 20. I don’t think it is possible to be as bad on defence again.

Whether that leads to 2, 5 or 8 wins is all much of a muchness. A positive culture very much appears to be in the process of being established. They aren’t going to the play offs but we take a step forward and have a foundation to build off. Aaron Glenn the defensive coordinator is a guy who will be a head coach in the not too distant future and a number of guys who looked in way over their head under Patricia will improve hugely this season. .

Goff isn’t going to win them too many games but I think he will be a high level game manager who won’t take too many risks and let the offensive line and run game open up stuff with play action.

Let the Trey Lance hype train commence. 80yd td albeit the pass didn’t have the velocity you’d expect.

Early days, no one getting overly excited. Nice to see a SF QB with good movement though.

Jimmy Gs longest career pass is 76 yards, Lance beat it with his second ever throw at this level :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Jimmy G is dud

Lance didn’t do much afterwards and took a few sacks and fumbled. Chosen Rosen had a nice drive going only to throw a redzone interception.

Think Trey was 5/14 or something.

9 incompletions but 3 drops.

The rookie QB who seems to be getting on very well is Fields

Fields only has to surpass Big Dick Nick and the Red Rifle so should see the field before Lance.

Never underestimate the red rifle mate.

Tebow has been released by the Jags.

He’s on his way to Boston for talks with the Patriots.

Only one of the above sentences is true.
