That’s bearable. I half-thought Shanahan wouldn’t be able to resist going for a QB he could mould again

Strong deal for him

I presume the Irsay family will still have control of the organisation?

He was a colourful character.

Looks like one of his daughters is best placed to take over.

Frank Ragnow retiring.

He had played with a lot of injuries - thought he might try and gut it out for a few more years as he is on track to be a hall of famer. There was talks last week that he was on hold out for a new contract but he didn’t strike me as the type. Leaving 25 million on the table to walk away

As tough as they come, he once played a game with a fractured throat

Big loss on the O line, dunno if Ratledge in the 2nd round was the longterm plan if the team were already aware of this but he has been taking snaps at center in rookie camp.

I’d say that they had some prior warning as they took two interior o line men with guard/centre versatility despite Mahogony looking the part in his opportunities last year so it wasn’t really a need.

The Browns moving indoors?

Buffalo also have plans for a new stadium too, I believe. There’ll hardly be anywhere left for a snow game soon. Brutal weather in the likes of those, Lambeau, Arrowhead and Soldier Field are part and parcel of a winter Sunday’s viewing.

Turn Around No GIF by Sesame Street

It reminds me of the warehouses at the back of the National Archives on Bishop Street in Dublin

Jerry really is a disaster.

Sell high…

I know he’s a stud but they’ll have 4 first round picks now over the next two years.

Four mid to late first round picks. Best case scenario if they get Dak’s replacement out of that and strengthen the d-line, and that’s doubtful enough.

Delighted to have it back.

And so it begins -

Not a huge amount between the best half a dozen teams in the AFC and very little between the third and tenth best teams in the NFC on the face of it.

Think the Falcons and Cardinals could be frisky sides who make play off pushes.

NFC North will be a riot - Lions roster is heaving with talent and surely can’t be as hampered by injury on defence this year, but were very healthy on offence last year so may level out. They have lost Ragnow and Zeitler on the o line but have two young studs who look the part and I think that with the OC change they will still be aggressive but maybe not as cute on offence they will probably take a slight step back compare to the high water mark they have reached - I’d expect Gibbs to be a feature back this year and put up big numbers.

Only real complaint on defence is a lack of recognised edge rusher across from Aidan Hutchinson - Marcus Davenport is there but he can never stay healthy. DT, linebacker and secondary all have really good depth and I’d expect that the defence will be top ten, possibly even top 5 if Kelvin Sheppard the new DC hits the ground running and pick up the slack if the offence regresses a bit.

Hard to see them getting 15 wins this year but they will be a double digit win team and a contender again.

Packers adding Parsons adds some star power but think it is a move that pays off longer term. They are still a couple of players away.

How will JJ Mccarthy go? He has a great chance to succeed as Kevin O’Connell is an excellent coach and they have talent on offence. But can he be a difference maker? Probably not

Then the Bears - the offseason vibes seem good but I think they might struggle a bit. Still issues at offensive tackle and I think it will take time for Caleb to learn to play in structure but they will be happy as long as he shows growth. Ben Johnson is an excellent offensive mind but a bit of an intense oddball too - be interesting to see how it goes if they have a bad run.

@batigol the jets will be worth a watch this year - Aaron Glenn is the man and he will have lads running through walls for him
