If he tried to play again, he’d want his head examined.
Chargers lead Broncos 16-3 early in the 3rd. Bronco’s O on 83 yards for the night so far
The good (and bad) people of San Diego are voting in a mini referendum on whether or not their willing to invest billions in a new stadium to keep the franchise in the Beautiful City, this happens on the same day as the Presidential election. Has to be 66% majority so I’d say their screwed.
Chargers continuing their weekly 4th quarter meltdown. Surely this one is impossible to throw away.
Surely to Christ. What in the name of fuck are they at?
Offensive holding chalks off a CJA TD.
Thomas turns it over on the next play. That should be that…even by Chargers standards.
My word.
Nuts. I wasn’t hugely confident as the Chargers were due one but my God did they try and fuck it up.
The key to beating the Denver D is getting the ball to the TE as quick as possible after the snap. They’re shocking at covering it and concentrate more on getting pressure on the QB quickly.
Denver O Line is in a heap and unless Elway tries to reinforce it soon then even getting to the play offs might be a stretch with the way that Oakland are shaping up this year.
Congrats to Philip Rivers- Leading passer in franchise history- Was always underrated but still just below the elite level of Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning, of the modern era.
Raiders Secure Votes in State Senate for Stadium Deal
Wednesday, Oct. 12
According to Jeff Gillan of News 3 in Las Vegas, the Nevada Senate voted and passed a stadium deal at a 16-5 count on Tuesday. The voting occurred in what was the second day of a special session at the Nevada State Capitol.
Supporters for the deal spoke on Monday and stressed that the use of tax dollars to fund the stadium would ultimately bolster the Nevada economy. Opponents responded on Tuesday and were concerned with the tax raise.
Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post pointed out the higher taxes may not be the only issue for the Raiders if they move to Las Vegas:
Prior to the vote, Jason Cole of Bleacher Report broke down other issues at play with a potential move to Las Vegas:
If Nevada does fund a stadium for the Raiders, the state will land a team with a bright future. They are already 4-1 on the season and tied with the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos atop the AFC West. What’s more, the core of Derek Carr (25 years old), Amari Cooper (22 years old) and Khalil Mack (25 years old) consists of young playmakers entering their primes.
This wouldn’t be first time the Raiders moved in their history. The franchise played in Oakland from 1960 to '81 (in the AFL from 1960 to '69) before moving to Los Angeles. It played in Los Angeles from 1982 to '94 but has been in Oakland ever since.
Greetings from the Pacific North West. Seahawks Falcons tomorrow, not bad. Currently watching ticket prices slide as locals sell tickets with reports of dreaded wind and rain. Pansies. Hoping to get them for under $100
TB12 is home
Tickets selling for over $1000 for Tom’s homecoming.
