Tuam was built by the townsfolk way on back in the day when such concerns were never addressed or thought of. It is certainly dangerous as it is.
A pile of foam covering ffs lads, at least.

Its gives shelter to the ewes

They tried marshmallow foundations for the stand but it didn’t take hold.

Did you ever think of not exposing concrete so close to the playing perimeters?

You wouldn’t see it at a proper sporting venue.

It’s about 8 yards from the sideline chicken

Ye will want padding on the posts next…

8 yards is too close for an exposed concrete structure near a playing field.

there are a load of grounds like that though, or with a low wall and fencing on top. Parnell Park, Portlaoise, Dr Cullen Park, Nowlan Park, Drogheada, Walsh Park and fuck loads more that I cant recall now.

Not saying it’s right or wrong but the vast majority of club GAA pitches that have a fence around them would have it within 8 yards of the pitch and a fair chunk of them would have some element of concrete wall at the base of it in poles. Concrete dug outs etc

Never been an issue in tuam anyway. Their biggest problem is facilities

Yes, it’s very dangerous though.

This epidemic of players hitting off walls must be ended immediately!

You’re a health & safety consultant now as well as a warehouse manager?

I don’t do either. Are you still training in Templemore?

no doubting that, but its an issue in pretty much all sports everywhere. you have the boundary to the pitch too far away and spectators are too far away. you only have to look at incidents in EPL with players shoved into the crowd or over the hoarding. happens in aussie rules a bit too with players close to the boundary. American football is the only one really where there is huge space between the pitch and boundaries, but that is as much for the hundreds of staff to be on the sidelines.

You have previously stated you’re in logistics have you not? Other than you not being the previous bomber/Rudi/ personas obviously

Not really in most soccer stadiums for instance, usually much less dangerous advertising hoardings that will kill momentum between concrete walls and less likely to be killed over an end line.

Croke Park for instance doesn’t have this issue.

Logistics does not mean a warehouse manager. I work on supply chain management myself.
