Terry Prone and Anton Savage in a spot of bother

I was just thinking the same myself. There once was a time when the puke was nobodyā€™s bitch.

MBB on the other hand is a complete lost cause.

Here Fran, go fuck yourself mate.

Back to the thread at hand and less of the bullshit from the last few posts.

:o :o :o

5pm Update: The voicemail which warned of the ā€œlibel landmineā€ [that] was going to ā€œblow up in our facesā€ (see above) has disappeared. It had been saved, the contents transcribed and was last played back at 2pm today. We have contacted Vodafone who have told us that it is highly unusual as all voicemails can be retrieved, even if deleted, within 24 hours

Sounds very odd.
Youā€™d want be fairly dumb to go hacking voicemails in the current climate. Particularly those of a news website.

Astonishing really if true. The arrogance required to do though wouldnt be beyond them. Would be interesting to hear the voicemail, could be up there with zip up your mickey.

If The Communications Clinic do the PR for a large number of FG TDā€™s surely thereā€™s a huge conflict of interest in one their Directors presenting a Business Show and standing in on a current affairs show when the majority of the issues being discussed will relate either directly or indirectly to their clients?

Welcome to the cosy cartel that is Irish media. Isnt Tom Savage high up in RTƉ as well?

Heā€™s Chairman of the RTE Authority

Fucking hell, it truly is a small country

whats this now?

Denis Oā€™Brien owns Today FM
FG supporter Oā€™Brien made his fortune through a mobile phone contract award to him in dubious circumstances by FG
The Communications clinic provide PR services to high ranking FG members.
Communications clinic director gets numerous cushy roles in Oā€™Briens radio station.
Father of said director is Chairman of RTE.

You left out the bit about him owning a large shareholding in Independent Newspapers which holds long standing historical FG links and the publisher of the only Irish non tabloid Sunday paper etc.

I was more trying to concentrate on the Savage/Prone/Oā€™Brien link

That seemed pretty self explanatory to the rest of us.

Fair point. Numerous mentions of FG threw me off.

Communications Clinic have previously worked with a number of Indo journos as well for what itā€™s worth.

Chris Donoghues interview with Kates mother this morning (recorded yesterday) didnā€™t address the ā€˜employerā€™ issues directly. It mentioned how those who return to the workplace after a bout of depression need to be treated fairly but he didnā€™t go for the juggler as to what actually happened in Kate Fitzgeralds caseā€¦

There are definitely two sides to this story but the employer has a case to answer regarding treatment of the employee when she returned to work.

You mean Denis Oā€™Briens Newstalk didnā€™t drive home the issue about the employers? Now thereā€™s a surprise.

leading PR company has synergies with leading media outlets- this is unprecented stuff

I find your continuing defence of Prone and Savage sickening to be honest TASE. I used think of you as a man of morals but I may have to rethink that now.

yeah well Ireland is a bit small for it not to cause a conflict of interests.

so whats your solution- make Ireland bigger?
