In the first test in Dhaka, Bangladesh were bowled out for 260. Australia 18/3 at stumps on Day 1.
Let’s see does Australia don’t do sub continent translate in real terms over the next couple of days?
Tomorrow is the day that will set the tone for the series
Big time. If the pitch is a real dust bowl then 260 could prove to be a very good first innings score.
Christ almighty, Smith gone now, 33/4. Handscomb and Renshaw at the crease, they’re young, but very mature batsmen, so hopefully Australia can at least put a partnership together.
Ashton Agar incidentally made a decent return to test cricket with 3 wickets. He may need to replicate his previous test form with the bat at this rate.
123/6. Wouldn’t fancy them having to bat last.
135/7
Not worried yet. Pat Cummins is injury free and the tigers won’t have faced pace like that before. Agat, Lyon and even Glen Maxwell will give Australia a very reachable target in the fourth innings imo.
Batsmen need to man up a bit though. Once warner and smith grab the baton the rest will follow.
204/9 - Cummins and Agar had a 9th wicket stand of 49. 10th wicket stand already up to 12.
Delicately poised at Headingley - was looking a bit ominous for the Windies when England got to 303/4 but the Windies have picked up three quick wickets and its England 258 & 327/7 plays West Indies 427 - a lead of 158.
Test getting away from the Windies. 391/7. Lead is out to 222. Really ragged and tired bowling now.
Moeen did the damage. He really is a key player for them now.,
Fucking Windies though. Can’t trust em
Lunch on Day 3. After a few early wobbles Bangladesh have put on 66 in a still unbroken 4th wicket stand to move to 133/3. Lead is out to 176.
Can’t see them losing this, poor performance by Australia.
Two quick wickets straight after lunch. 143/5. Lead of 186.
Aussies will win this now but fair play to Bangladesh for making it competitive
Haven’t seen a ball bowled in this Test, but I’ll confidently predict the Aussies won’t get within 100 runs of the target.
At this stage the max the target will be is 300, but more likely to be close to Bangladesh first innings total. Warner will blow them out of it I predict
people actually watch cricket ??
