@GeoffreyBoycott the Ashes squad will be named today. Stoneman and Jennings to go with Cook? Roland-Jones injured unlucky. GBH accused Ben Stokes. Gary Ballance to travel even though he won’t do much.
It’s very threadbare looking in both bowling and batting departments. Could do with a fully fit Mark Wood as he offers genuine pace but he’s had an injury blighted season. Steven Finn could be on the plane yet. Top of the batting line up anyone’s guess. There’s question marks over Australia too, but fewer at home and they should win the series comfortably enough. 3-1 to Australia with one drawn test.
Yeah the Aussie quicks will have too much for them. I see young Hameed broke his finger again. Unlucky but don’t think he would have made the squad.
I’d take finn. If he’s on form he should be ideal for Australia. What’s this about Ben stokes?

The English 16-man squad was named on Wednesday, with vice-captain Ben Stokes included despite his arrest on Monday.

Australian Maxwell, 67, said England will need “an almighty performance, with Stokes brilliantly throwing his bat, to keep the side together”.
