He saw nothing wrong with West Ham thugs running amok a few weeks ago. He sees nothing wrong with the conduct of the Australian cricket team in Cape Town . It’s all the power the ICC have here really. Smith has been done for actions contrary to the spirit of the game. It’s how Cricket Australia react that will really determine his future, they may choose to ban him for longer. Seems very likely they will remove captaincy from him.
ICC need to revise the punishment they can administer for this type of an offense. It’s actually laughable that they can only give a One Match Ban.
They haven’t even banned the ball tamperer Bancroft.
