they should close it down for a period and then sell the whole fucking shebang off to some private company, trams rails operating franchise the whole lot who would hopefully employ a heap of eastern euopean skinheads to ‘drive’ the fucking thing.
ordinary people need to get to work here this is a disgrace.
The Unions are alive and well in RTE.
It was Mulvey who criticised the Unions, they responded with tears. Anyone who reads that headline will think that Mulvey said something outrageous.
When Mulvey, an ex Union head, criticises you you know they are acting like total cunts. As an aside would it be possible for someone from an employer background to ever chair that Commission? Absolutely not in left wing Ireland.
That’s option b to me at this point, I want to firstly keep the service operating and this plan be the last resort.
Is there a fighting fund we could donate to for Transdev? Ensure they can keep the lights on throughout this process and bring in the required Labour from abroad?
O’Connor knows they are fucked here but is still refusing to back down. I heard an interview with one of the Union reps the evening that the drivers rejected the deal and he sounded absolutely exasperated. At the time they were claiming it was a very good deal, yet this morning you had Jack O’Connor claiming it was a deal no trade unionist could stand over. Surely it should have been rejected on the spot so if that was the case instead of being brought back to the members.
The Luas fuck up completely shows up the private sector of not being fit for purpose in Oireland.
this is completely a private sector issue mate
It’s a public service kid, a private company are not being let operate the service because of some fuckacting by a bunch of monkeys.
We need to replace the monkeys and get the service operating. Dont you agree?
His buddies in the tennis club probably don’t use public transport.
a private company cant manage their employees
I’d say they use it more than most considering all have the free travel pass
The Luas workers were dead right to reject the deal that was offered to them which means new recruits are paid less.
Mulvey is supposed to be impartial and has now shown he isn’t.
Had they not already accepted a very similar deal in 2011?
The new deal was structured so that new entrants are paid less for the first few years then moved onto the same pay scale as everyone else. A very normal way to do business in the real world.
I presume there is essentially a fixed pot of money so if they want new entrants paid the same or more then they’ll have to accept less of a pay raise for existing drivers?
Typical private sector incompetence.
The private sector caused the economic crash.
Fucking useless cunts. The Transdev managers should be resign, be sacked, or preferably both.
Also thought it was a sneaky dig by O’Connor this morning to bring Mulveys wages into it, when he’s not exactly living on the breadline himself.
If Google have nearly mastered driver-less cars, surely we can’t be too far from driver-less trams?
That was an April Fools
You’re an April fools
Just because you enjoy taking it up the arse doesn’t mean everybody else has to, pal.
Tale your fascist neo-liberal agenda some place else.
