I’m happy out. I didn’t look at the groups, the games, the draw and didn’t know who Jota lad played for, only for picking from the boxes at the top.
I’m pissed off as if I’d known jota was on the same team as that cunt Ronaldo, and wouldn’t get any penalties, and also if I’d known Lukaku was playing, I’d have picked Lukaku.
France, Belgium, Portugal and Italy being on the same side of the draw makes maximum points for both 1st and 2nd unattainable for a lot of entries

The format was slight double jeopardy - if you got winner of group wrong then invariably your runner up was wrong too.

There was nothing to stop you picking the same team for first and second. Though it’s unlikely to be a strategy that would win overall but would probably be above average.

I had Portugal down for 2nd place in the group and to go the England route to the final and lose to France. That is now unattainable after the late goal from Goretzka last night.
