Returned to my hotel at around 10pm and watched Shame on Netflix. Great movie. Iād like to think Iād have ended up like Brandon had I stayed in New York.
7.30am flight from Heathrow to Dublin. Wheels on the ground in Dublin at 8.40am. I managed to get back to my bedsit, have a shower, stop off for a coffee and get in to work by 10am. Seamless.
I donāt want to count my chickens just yet as thereās still two months to go but the efficiency I show in my trips means Iām surely a contender for TFK International Business Traveler of the Year 2013.
@Bandage is probably my closest contender at the moment.
You will be red hot favourite brian although it is hard to tell how much your recent ordering a cheeseburger at a client dinner revelations has harmed your chances.
Where did you dine? In the City? I hope a suitable establishment was selected so that:
a) the client was made feel valued with a quality meal
b) you didnāt go all out and show the client you are reckless with money.
Well done on getting back to hotel at 10pm. Depending on your relationship with the client, London has a tendency to encourage one to keep the night going, especially on a Thursday. You were probably safe enough on a Monday.
Ah yes, there was a buffet thingy on the first night and a sit down dinner the next night. Buffet was different oriental stuff and the sit down was some fishy thing that, a) wasnāt particulary tasty b) wasnāt particularly large. Grub was excellent on Singapore Airlines, wasnāt as nice flying back with the Luftwaffe. Great food in the business lounge at Singapore airport.

You will probably be docked points for admitting to enjoying airline food however
Iād say there is inverse snobbery at work here in admitting to liking the food on Singapore airlines. I would also say that the quality of the report here is fuddled and lacking in specifics and therefore in danger of losing marks.
feel free please to provide a concise summation of events
gombeens coming on here telling us how they flew ryanair to bristol on a tuesday afternoon have lowered the tone a bit in recent weeks
What would be posters airline of choice ( business class only)
I have a Lufthansa Airmiles card and i must say i am a huge fan of the Star Alliance.
Swiss businees class on long haul is quite superb and i usually would avail of this ( thru zurich) on tel aviv dublin routs.
Trans- Atlantic id be a pretty passionate US Airways man but in recent times El AL fan due to the quality of the food.
There is nothing worse than seeing a poorly dressed professional fly coach with a low standard airline, most demeaning

I have no problem flying coach if it means I can use the money saved to arrive a day early if travelling to somewhere warm such as Dubai. I previously flew there business class with Emirates and made the mistake of travelling in a suit and then having to attend a meeting pretty much straight off the flight and the meeting was most uncomfortable.
The next time I flew coach in my civvies and got there the day before so got to chill out in the hotel, go over my notes and had a fresh shower and suit the next morning before blowing the client away with my presentation.
Celebratory wagyu was had in MJs post closing.

I have found KLM to be excellent for flights across mainland Europe. I have travelled business class with BA, Iberia, Virgin and South African airlines and BA were the best while I found Virgin to be poor for the cost associated with it. I will never fly Iberia again if i can help it
