You checked all the coverage on all the other outlets?
I haven’t bothered but I’m just stating how much of an arse John McGurk is
Goes without saying really.
At the end of the day the veiled dig at foreigners was easily the most newsworthy bit of all the statements and the times just left it out despite a lengthy piece with extensive quotes. That must have been a conscious decision which in the current climate is interesting at the very least.
It may be as cauliflower said some kind of avoiding of incitement to hatred but then again the indo and rte reported it so unlikely to be that. Also at the end of the day McGuirk was spinning as all major media did not ignore it. Also towards the end of the day he was a little bit right as it proves (to me anyway) that some mainstream media do not always publish the full facts and skew it to suit their own agenda rightly or wrongly.
You’re making far too much of this.
A number of people have given their reasonable view on why the full statement might not have been published. I don’t really get why you keep asking the same question.
He’s just asking questions
Understood. Just asking the same question a lot. I’m not sure what different answers he might get.
I’d imagine there’s a fair crossover between Conor McGregor fans and Irish “Patriot” types
I wouldnt even say there is a venn diagram in this
This is genius.
That post was me stopping asking the question. It was like the conclusion to my academic essay
Racism is learned behaviour. What chance have these kids of formenting a healthy attitude towards non-nationals, when they’re raised by wolves.
They’re also raised by people who don’t know the difference between “its” and “it’s”.
It’s quite sad that they’ve put that on the kids, no matter the rights and wrongs
The parents should be ashamed of themselves.
Ireland is turning into a very dangerous place. The far right are taking over.
It is not. Ireland is currently run by a woke mob, and then we’ll have the horrific Sinn Fein at the wheel after the next election
Just as well you’re not here then.
That will be a monumental day for the positive progress of our state
Kwasi Doherty will tank the economy within 3 months. The only hope is a coalition with FF to keep them in cheque. The Irish deserve another economic meltdown like 2008 if the vote those populist clowns in. Not to talk of their racism against protestants which will cause civil war North and South
