I think immigration is far more of a positive than a negative for this country. However, the fact that anyone who points out anything remotely negative about immigration is immediately labelled a fascist/rascist is really not a good idea. The inability to have mature, level-headed discussion on the pros and cons of our system of immigration is dangerous and going to lead to the rise of the far right imo.

We don’t have to burden share on all things, though I will say that it’s been a general EU commitment since the 1990s so once it’s at that level we should try to follow through.
We have an EU agreement that is unfair on southern European countries. If it weren’t for that agreement there wouldn’t be a disproportionate burden on them. It’s pretty obvious it requires reform and fair burden sharing.
