The Run of the Country is not there.Ffs.
“Clash of the ash” not there.
The evening news was on there and in it the following term was used:
“They/He tried to get the knife OFF the assailant” referring to that nasty business in Parnell Square a few years ago…
Surely it should have been “get the knife FROM the assailant”.
A lad would give you the shirt off his back but not from his back…
This terminology is, to me, incorrect. Opinions before I launch a letter to the Irish Times …
My advice would be get out into the garden and do a few jobs before the rain tomorrow.
I’ve survived the painting escapade and turned my attention to the garden in recent days. I’m having a distinguished guest for dinner tomorrow evening (6pm) and will be occupied with culinary activities most of the day.
We’ll be sampling some top shelf products after a few bottles of merlot…
Take my advice. Skip the Merlot and get yourself a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir.

Disclaimer.
I know nothing about wine.
Only what I learned from the movie Sideways.
