The 125 greatest stars of the GAA

Great to see that Brian Lohan will make the top 25…he will surely get in the top fifteen seen as he is the greatest ever fullback to play the game…

I see that Shefflin won the hurling and Jack O’Shea won the football…Still can’t believe that Colin Lynch and Declan Ryan didn’t make the 125…

Where the FUCK was Ciaran Carey??

(Don’t say “In the pub”)

Did Carey not make it either, jesus wept, no way were the likes of Comerford and George O’Connor better than them three…Jokeshop!

Say what you want about the man, but Carey was one of the classiest hurlers I’ve ever seen. I’ve looked through the list twice and can’t spot him.

Don’t think Joe Canning made it either!!!

:eek:Couldn’t believe that! Some joke of a list.

Mickey Linden at 80.

Colm O’Rourke at 21.

Wrong.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
think noel hickey would have something to say about that…

Very hard to choose between the pair,at A push I would go for Hickey, mainly because of Lohans huge spud of A head.

Hickey is a far, far superior player to the vastly overrated Brian Lohan.

Where is the pinemartin on the list? He made shit of Lohan.

:thumbsup::clap:,Lohan was a rugby player with a hurl in his hand.

Greg Blaney was at something like 40,an average cunt compared with Linden, the great Eddie Keher made the list at 5,i wouldnt be happy to see DJ Carey make it ahead of him at 4,Kehers impact on big games was much greater throughout his career,Ring should have been at #1 aswell in fairness, its too easy to assume that Shefflin is better, hes a few more AI medals away from that status id reckon.

The lists were a bit of a joke in fairness but at least they did it,those RTE cunts should be strung up for thier disgraceful efforts at commemorating this GAA milestone, too busy wasting money on endless documentaries on the economy by cunts like McWilliams and that Robert Little, they’d put you to sleep listening to them.

You’re talking through your hole there. The dentist was the best centreforward I’ve seen play the game, although now being challenged by Declan O Sullivan.

Exactly, a mauler out and out. All hands and arms and tugs and gropes - a poor man’s Ger Cushe. Hickey is the prince of full backs in this and any other era.

Ive long argued this point on this and other websites,Lohan took the rugby tackle option far too often to be considered any better than an average inter County full back.

nonsense…Bandage you lost all credability when you said that Tom Feeney was a better fullback that Lohan

More often than not when Hickey is under pressure(albeit it is seldom) he reverts to the rugby tackle or wearing timber off his man…Clare in 2004, Cork in 2004, Limerick 2007 to just name a few games that come to mind…

The lack of Carey and Paul Flynn is A complete joke,2 of the best of their generation.
