The 2025 Six Nations

Munster need to use this as motivation to win this weekend.

It’s not in the script for the irfu.

Coombes, Hodnett and ahern are very unlucky.

Oli jäger as well.

Iwuchuku for ahearne i can understand. Former playing house down and latter only back from injury. They will push Baird who, for me, is a tad lucky to be holding his place ahead of Deegan in leinster team. Should also be pushing out Henderson+ POM before end of the tournament if all stay fit

Conan instead of coombes is obviously down to more than just performance levels as coombes been an absolute monster. As sub even, think coombes covers more positions but farrell just doesn’t rate him as a backrow/there’s bad blood.

Hodnett can feel robbed. He completely changed the game when he came on last week. Surely worthy of squad as specialist 7 as other backrow spots have ample cover.

It’s ahern or Henderson imo.

It’s some joke Pom was the only fella booted off a central contract while Irish captain.

Munster who are broke are left in a tricky spot have to foot the bill and it turns out Pom ends of playing more for Ireland than munster.

That would never happen Leinster.

3 hours on the train to Milan then an hour on a bus to the airport after 3 or 4 days on the piss isn’t fun. It just really felt like a slog the last time.

Didnt realise Bergamo was an hour outside Milan. Can see how that not the most pleasant end to a liver-busting weekend

Ahern was in the squad two years ago, it seems mad he can’t get back in. But then, munster leave him and Hodnett on the bench in their last game. Despite their impact it hardly helps them press their case for inclusion.

On Coombes moving to second row, he’s probably not tall enough? That time he was included in the A squad seems to have seen him blacklisted. He could end up like John cooney.

He’ll be there when he gets a good run of health and games under his belt

Coombes is 6 foot 6.

He’s been in the doghouse since a poor performance against New Zealand A and his response to the “work ons” he was given after that. Whereas Cooney was hated on a personal level.

You could argue Coombes lacks some of the ball skills for the Irish game plan. Ironically he probably suits the Leinster Saffa bludgeon tactics a bit better.

Tis grand on the way over when everyone is giddy but a fucking dose on the way back.

Cooney being too big of a dickhead even for the private-schoolers to tolerate is something else.

He is supposed to be unmerciful ballbag.

It’s fitting he found a home with the perennially chippy Nordies

He was asked who the best fly half he ever played with is by Tadgh Leader on the American Football kicking thing, and he said Billy Burns!

I’d say Sexton got rid of him out of Leinster.

He got a in a huge bust-up with Jonathan when Cooney was called up to a training squad and Schmidt did what he was told by refusing to call him up ever again despite being the most in-form 9 for a few years.

He was absolutely flying there for a good while. Murray had the neck problem then and all. I’m waiting for him to make a run at the NFL

160 bean for a ticket to the France match in the Aviva is shocking stuff.

TBH, they could charge 350 a head and still sell out comfortably. A doll I work with spent €30, 000 on two ten year premium tickets for all the home games in Lansdowne, that includes the six nations and Autumn internationals.

Like 5 games a year?

Id guess 300 each for the premium might be value in 10 years
