I donât think heâll take it. From Crowleyâs point of view he has to be looking at prendergast having nearly played his way off the Irish team and thinking he can and should be the Irish starting ten. Sport is unpredictable and two years is a long time but surely immediately after the world cup rather than two years before it is the time to go.

Counterweight to that is will the brass and invisible hand involved allow him his shot. Fact he wasnt even sprung from bench to play 10 might add further doubt.
He could round out positional bingo this weekend and be named on the wing!
Another example that from the distant past.
Itâs a lot of dough alright, but how many years rugby and salary did Madigan throw away when he went abroad. I remember seeing him play a reserve game for Ulster at the local club here a few years back, he had barely turned 30 and was completely washed up. Had he stayed at Leinster he would have been looked after a bit better and probably be playing away still.
Its a 2 year contract hes been offered apparently. Could be back with a province in time to challenge, not gone forever might be the thinking.

Frawls can take Crowleyâs role as the theoretical back up 10 who gets 10 minutes at full back. Munster are at nothing so can roll with JJ
600k is probably double what heâs being offered by Munster. The Irish management donât rate him. Itâs very hard to say no to that kind of money.

Buckley made a shed load whilst not trying a leg for sale. A member of the S&C team told me he was the laziest and most unprofessional player he had ever worked with. Buckley made out like a bandit though.
The red haired lad who was found innocent of the rape charge had an excellent career abroad. I genuinely canât remember his name.

He finished at a young enough age and went back playing amateur rugby. Has a lawsuit going now for issues with concussion, a cautionary enough tale really for anyone looking abroad.
