The 6 Nations 2024

I don’t know should the WRU and professional Rubby be mentioned in same breath

I’d say Gatland is wondering what he had walked back in to. The team are a shell of themselves and got pumped in the first 2 games.

Was it the WRU voted to hold this World Cup in France so Ireland didn’t get it?

well I think the fact that France had stadiums and Ireland didnt was the reason

Wales are playing England tomorrow. Wales v England is the greatest fixture in world rugby and few fixtures in the entire world of sport can rival it at its best, but tomorrow’s impending clash evokes a sadness within me. It won’t be the same and we all know the reason/s why. It won’t even be as good as the pandemic-affected 2021 edition, which was actually a smashing game.

I’m listening to (not watching) the 2019 game as I type this, one of the great renewals.

I’d love to think to Eddie and Motty will meet up for a few pints to watch the rugby tomorrow and then stick around to watch Match Of The Day later on. I’d love to be in on that conversation.

Is it actually? I dunno if you are messing or not tbh.

NZ Vs SA would of came to mind for me.

  1. Wales v England at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
  2. South Africa v the British Lions at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria.
  3. South Africa v New Zealand at Ellis Park, Johannesburg.

I’m having a beer or two and some Irish rubby game is on in the background. The referee is this little blonde wan. She’s an absolute belter whoever she is. What in God’s name is she doing dedicating her life to being a referee in this.

Just having a flick through this at the moment. It’s a cracking read. Reading the section on Eddie Butler and the notorious 1980 clash at Twickenham, the day Paul Ringer was sent off.

Jesus he must have done untold to get sent off back then.

A late hit chasing down a Garryowen, more of a body check really on the England out half John Horton about 15 minutes in. It was mild enough compared to what went before. The first 15 minutes were just torrid and a warning had been administered that next player to transgress would be sent off.

Max Boyce made a living out of that day

He wrote a song about Paul Ringer alright. He was already making a very good living out of it at that stage.

Surprisingly quiet in here

These Italian cunts didn’t even play our anthem!

What’s the rugby culture like in Italy in general? Is there much interest? They’re improving at underage and it’s starting to filter through. This is like the kind of shaky start we’d have made in Rome back around 2005.

There is probably 100k a year in it… More at top level. She is a good ref
