Considering the start he had it’s all the more impressive how he turned it around.

And it isn’t. They’ll mix it up, but it’s worked perfectly so far.
Whisper it but I think he may even be an upgrade on Schmidt.
Have Wales had the same team for the last 15 years?
Why didn’t wales get a 5m scrum when try was held up?
New rules.
Van der Flier covers some ground for a big man.
Porter lucky to stay on.
A lot of the main protagonists still there alright. They don’t have much coming through. They’re like the Waterford hurlers in 2012 but they won’t have an influx of talent next year like the Deise did.
I don’t think that’s in doubt. Schmidt was pretty shit despite the bizarre Irish media love for him.
Why did Murray kick away possession with ten seconds left? Won’t make a difference to result today but it’s pure brainless .
Was Sheehan I thought?
Agree, another phase and then put it out
It was Sheehan, not Murray.
Three (3) 6 Nations titles including a GS and a couple of wins over NZ is a good CV along with the success at Leinster. But the style of rugby was dour. Farrell doesn’t have the silverware yet but he seems to have more flexibility and shouldn’t bomb at world cups like Schmidt’s teams did.
About the minimum he should have achieved for the team he had and two complete flops at world cups. One of the most overrated people/records ever.
Before that Murray could have done better.
But hey, what a performance
I’m not sure about the team back then. The provinces weren’t in rude health at the time. Leinster lost 5 of their 6 champions cup pool games in 2015/16 for instance and Munster were struggling under Axel. More high profile names in the Ireland team back then alright.
James Ryan playing well after being in a rut a couple of years ago.
Two words: Dave Kearney.
