Poor taste chucks ffs.[quote=âChucks_Nwoko, post:118, topic:20198, full:trueâ]
She wasnât long telling all her mates she was getting pumped by Adam fuckinâ Johnson though. She made her bed.

I think a custodial sentence is harsh. Convict him and leave it to the civil courts to award significant damages to her. In most European countries it wouldnât be a crime, although personally I think it should be. A 16 year old groping a 15 year old is one thing, but a 27 year old is a different matter. Does it deserve having his livelihood taken away from him, 4 or 5 years and his professional career is over?
In the country that tolerated Jimmy Saville for decades, really not sure. Where were the wigged cunts when he was grooming and raping kids that truly could have had no consent?
Would you jail him if he was a Catholic priest?
No.
There are hundreds of Catholic priests that should be in jail though for much worse offenses, only the worst monsters are behind bars.
Arguably the trial was worse for her than what he did. And she now becomes a client of English social services.
The age limit has to be drawn somewhere and it is arbitrary and different thoughout Europe. Once he is released he could go and play abroad but his release licence will most likely prohibit working overseas.
What are you trying to say here?
As for his livelihood, without even considering the age of the victim here, its something he should have considered before making moves on someone 11 years his younger, while his partner was pregnant with his child. I imagine heâs a wealthy man, I wouldnât weep too much for him.
Jimmy Saville or the laws of other countries have absolutely nothing to do with this case.
Nor is losing your livelihood a relevant outcome for this type of case. Thatâs a side effect of every custodial sentence, itâs not an additional punishment unique to this case.
Heâs a predator, the messages make that clear. He deserves some time in Her Majestyâs custody.
For the person above saying that she wasnât long telling her friends what happened, if you read the messages sent its clearly bullshit. Of course she told her mates that Adam Johnson was giving her a jersey and meeting her, sheâs a teenage girl ffs. Rumours spread around schools.
Actually I agree with this. He looks like he will get more than some of the Rochdale Asian paedophile ring who preyed on vulnerable children for years, with multiple rapes.
Not sure about non custodial, but 5 years seems harsh, though the Asian paedophile ring sentences are outrageously light.
The faux outrage brigade out in force here. Thereâs 15 year olds getting rid every night of the week, how do you want to go about policing that?
âOh heâs 27â - irrelevant in the eyes of the law. Every bit as wrong as an 18 year old doing it.
âPregnant partner wa waaâ - No relevance in court. A jury isnât in place to convict on morals.
âRich footballerâ - pity he wasnât a struggling 18 year old labourer alright.
AJâs circumstances have heightened the pulpit for a few to preach around here. Yes,he fucked up. Yes,heâs guilty. And yes,he deserves to go down (weyheyyyy). But some people are taking the greater joy from his personal demise, than any justice being served here. Cop on.
Its not faux outrage. Its simply a punishment for a crime. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He even googled it. Some lads are trying to dismiss what he did as a simple mistake. It wasnât. Adults have a duty to protect the weak and young in our society, he acted as a predator. She was a child.
Nobody is suggesting it was a simple mistake. If he was 18 and in a relationship with her, would you recommend jailtime?
He wasnât 18. He wasnât in a relationship with her. He was 27 and he used his position to prey on her.
There is a difference between him and an 18 year old labourer though. His profession, fame and wealth were part of the reason that he was able to groom the girl.
This isnât a case of him banging a young one he met when on a night out and then found out she was 15, he knew full well beforehand and used his standing to groom a teenager for sex. It is wrong on so many levels and he is deserving of the sentence he got and the other ramifications that will come of it
Itâs called a hypothetical question. Now answer me, you cretin.
Dont call me names you horrible prick. Its nothing got to do with this case. When such a case comes up, feel free to tag me in the discussion and weâll deal with your question then.
Sunderland also come out of this terribly. They are the footballing equivalent of Michael Noonan
Iâm drawing parallels between the Johnson case (Wrong/illegal/Faux outrage) and a hypothetical example of statutory rape (wrong/illegal/not a big deal).
His last action on a football field cost Liverpool two points. That could be crucial yet.
Thereâs no parallel.
