I withdraw my previous post but I wonât edit it.
I think Donegal and Kildare will take beating this year. They both seem to have their âsystemsâ very much ingrained and have the team ethic and workrate to match.
Kildare marginally more so, they bought well in the transfer window while Donegal had to ship out a trouble maker over a disagreement with management.
Qualifiers
Laois v Carlow
Westmeath v Louth
Roscommon v Armagh
Fermanagh vs Cavan
Tipp vs Offaly
London v Antrim
Wicklow v Waterford
Longford v Derry
Not much to whet the appetite there. Longford v Derry probably the tie of the round.
how do louth play westmeath again didnt they meet in the first round?
Your man on the radio said it was a completely open draw with no teams being kept apart.
I thought it was strange myself
Lot of âlocalâ derbys there. Thought it odd the draw was today and not last night. One for the conspiracy theorists.
As for Laois, worst possible draw apart from London, would have been better get some decent and be done with the entire ball of shite. I mean, SIX FUCKING GOALS conceded while utilising a so called blanket defence. Fuck off Justin.
I reckon we should take Roscommon.
Jonathan Wilsonâs article on the Euro 2012 Match Discussion thread on how Spain are holding the ball at this European Championship for me gives a good insight into the best way to play Donegal, which for me is probably for your front nine to hold their positions at all costs and also drop two or three extra defenders back, and simply keep the ball until theyâre drawn out. It would be fascinating to see how theyâd cope if a team played them at their own game. Maybe play keep ball around one area of the pitch like Spain are doing and then switch it suddenly. Iâm sure Mickey Harte will have something up his sleeve for next week anyway.
Monaghan looking the business here so far
Down are pathetic.
What score is it lads ?
Limerick would baffle them so! on a serious note I fancy Donegal for the AI at 11/1 this year.
Monaghan 6 up. Down scored a penalty just before HT.
0-11 to 1-2 for Monaghan HT
or god forbid just pick a forward who can kick a long range score from over 40 yardsâŚthe blanket defence wonât even be an issue thenâŚ
both defences bad in match hereâŚas bad as theyâve been Down are still in itâŚ
Down havenât a notion of getting back into this.
