Why did Ruby shoot Oswald? A sensible review of the evidence would conclude that his own testimony, that he did it “for Jackie”, so she wouldn’t have to testify at her husband’s murder trial, is likely correct. Based on evidence presented at his trial, Ruby was undoubtedly insane.

There were 3 shots fired in 11 seconds. The first missed and injured a bystander, James Tague. The second was fired when Kennedy’s limo is behind the sign, goes through Kennedy’s neck and inflicts the wounds on Connally (these were metal jacketed bullets, so that’s exactly what they do), and the third blows the top of Kenned’y head off.

I’ve only seen the Oliver Stone film - why is there a discrepancy between your and jonnysachs version re length of time between shots fired? Is it 8 or 11 seconds, surely this something that has been proven.
We are not debating facts, we are debating speculation, and you appear not to be able to tell the difference. Conspiracy theorists grab onto one item of speculation and ignore all the actual evidence that refutes the speculation.
There is no question the secret service did a poor job that day, but to jump from that to they were all part of a conspiracy is nonsensical.

The bullet wasn’t in pristine condition, look at the front on pic where it is squashed. The more important evidence is the bullet was traced by ballistics to Oswald’s rifle.
He didn’t stop, he slowed down.
The claim “did it for Jackie” came from Ruby himself, I didn’t make it up. But you’re right, who knows what goes on in the mind of the deranged.

You’re deluded if you think that the Rifle which was left at the scene could have done all the damage. Some coincidence too that Oswald got a job in the book depository.
The problem is the timing of the first shot and whether it’s captured on the Zapruder film or not. Still photographs of crowd and secret service reaction to the first shot suggest it was before Zapruder stared filming, or just after the limo turned on to Elm. From there to the head shot is 11 seconds.
Warren comission said it could be anywhere from 5.6 to 8.5 seconds.
This is the magic bullet. remember it danced around the car creating 7 entry and exit wounds.
Oswald started his job at the book depository in mid September, when nobody, including any potential assassin, would have known Kennedy’s route.
The Warren commission got it wrong, and we have the benefit of all the evidence and analysis that has been accrued since. Besides, even 8 seconds from the first shot (bullet was already in chamber) to the head shot is plenty time.
